Colony portraits is a collection of soft ground etchings resulting from the imprints of bees, evoking their disappearance while emphasizing the individuality of each creature.
As my project evolved, I began to use electro-etching and discovered how to electro-plate the bees. This process of memorialisation of the plated and the etched bees also evokes the communication with electric fields that happens between the bees
